The big bots team, sorry I don't know what else to call them right now, they start building their bots a bit before the lego robots team starts building their robot. If I remember correctly, you start building the robots in the fall/winter then you compete in competitions in the spring. They are a lot of fun!!!

There are some teams already around here. Here are some of the ones that I know of, which unfortunately is only two; Duluth East, and Hibbing. I do not know if Hibbing is doing a bigbots team this year, but I am sure they are going to have a legorobotics team.

NLCS does not have a robotics team yet. I am thinking of making this a project, so we can have teams and compete. What do you guys think?

     I created this blog to talk about my dad and his robotic adventures. He loves robots, I like them too, but he also annoys me with them, and his other hobby astronomy.
     My dad volunteers around the iron range with robotic teams. He mentors the teams who build the big robots, the high school competitors. He also mentors the lego robotics teams. They're his favorite hobbies, as far as I can tell. He wasn't employed, so there wasn't much cash coming onto our house through him, but he still worked with these kids. Both teams loved it. He is hoping to do it again this year.
